Some things that make me smile (and feel better) when I feel a bit overwhelmed:

  • Chocolate…especially chocolate bark and dipped crystallized ginger.
  • Strawberries.
  • A good book.
  • A good movie is even better.
  • A nice home-brewed soda.
  • A nap.
  • A hug.
  • A cuddle is even better.
  • Singing.
  • Singing with others is even better.
  • Songs that make me smile.
  • A slow romantic dance around the living room because that’s almost like getting rocked.
  • Being rocked in a rocker or pushed on a swing.
  • Watching the sky.
  • Watching trees.
  • Watching birds.
  • Watching squirrels.
  • Watching babies of any kind.
  • Hearing someone say something nice.
  • Especially about me.
  • Seeing someone do something nice for anyone, even me.
  • Having good dreams.
  • Hearing about a loved one’s day.
  • A lovely meal I don’t have to cook or clean up after.
  • A back rub.
  • Touching skin without any demands.
  • Orgasms that don’t have to be earned or worked…
